"By the late 1980’s it had become clear that western man was effecting the planets climate. The levels of wastage then was high but today what we throw away is finally crippling our environment. There is a long tradition of making photos of found objects. There is something quite magical about photographing an object that has been discareded and breathing life back into it through the magic of photography. The ability of being able to add “meaning” and “purpose” is one of photography’s most powerful properties. These two characteristics of photography are probably the ones I have explored most in my commercial & personal photographs." Paul E Williams
Solarorids are made using a solarised polaroid technique discovered and developed by Paul E Williams. Due to the demise of the Polaroid stock used in the technique the series using the solaroid process date from 1989 to 1991.
